Welcome to Artsy Play Wednesday on Capri + 3 and Caution! Twins at play! Each week, creative blogs get together and share their arts, crafts and play posts so that we can be inspired to try fun new things with the children that make us smile. I will get things started with an art activity I did with the Sugar Snaps this week, and then please join in and add your links. Since it is approaching the Valentine's Day holiday, I could not resist having them make the classic hand print hearts with a little sparkle for added fun.
Hand Print Sparkle Heart:
You will need:
- Red tempera paint
- Paint Brush
- Glitter
- Construction Paper
This is a quick and easy project that makes great Valentine's Day cards, a framed art piece or scrapbook entry. Paint red paint onto your child's hand with the paint brush, and with closed fingers help press his or her hand onto the paper. Do the same with the other hand, angling to make the heart shape. Then, sprinkle glitter on the paint while it is still wet. Shake off the excess and allow to dry.
Now it is your turn. Please add direct links to as many arts, crafts and play posts as you like (so everyone can find them months from now). It would be great if you would add the Artsy Play Wednesday button to your linked posts or sidebar so that your readers can come over and join in the fun. I look forward to seeing all of your creative ideas. Feel free to pin any of the posts you enjoy or simply pin Artsy Play Wednesday so that you can come back at your leisure and have access to all the fun ideas at once. It is time to inspire and be inspired. Enjoy.

I love your handprint heart. I think we might have to make these to send to relatives. So brilliant and sweet!
Thank you Jennifer.
I am sure your relatives would be excited to receive them. They are so easy, yet touching with the hands of a child.
